Recent years have seen an increase in the occurence of natural and man-made disasters - from the tsunami in South East Asia, London bombing, hurricanes in the US and earthquakes in Pakistan. In order for aid to be provided promptly and appropriately it is imperative that communication systems are implemented as soon as possible.

BrownstoneIT has developed a number of products that can assist Aid agencies, NGOs and Businesses that are involved in the reconstruction of places devastated by natural disasters, where communications are vital.

Bgan Services
In November 2005, Inmarsat launched a new satellite to offer g lobal coverage, with a highly portable antenna and fast broadband speed (512Kbps). The system offers a high speed response to emergencies anywhere in the world. Designed as a single user system to facilitiate using the internet, voice or video the system provides you with extreme portability through a terminal no bigger than a laptop.

Flyway – Dish and Mount
The Flyway can provide both Voice and Internet services whilst offering a range of speeds upto 4Mb.

Providing you have clear line of sight, the portable satellite dish can be constructed and operational within about 1 to 2 Hours. You will be supplied with a rugged container, dish, mount and modems and aligning meter. One days training will be provided in the UK or in South East Asia to train your technical staff.

Mobile Satellite
Constructed on the top of a car, van or lorry, the fully automated system means you don't have to be technical to operate it. The service can provide basic internet access for field workers, or can be engineered to offer full office facilities such as voice, video and data. The mobile office can be operational within five minute of getting to site, offering you easy and quick deployment.
