Features
Remote sites are connected by satellite to BrownstoneIT’s Amsterdam Internet Exchange, then to our PSTN breakout. This offers a London connection to the world-wide telephone network. We operate “least-cost routing” whereby calls are carried to their destination on the lowest cost network. This makes calls made from the telephone café very economical and as easy as calling any other phone number.

Up to 6 simultaneous calls can be sustained from the telephone cafe, and unused bandwidth, available when fewer calls are being made, can be used by data services. This ensures best use is made of the bandwidth investment made by our customers. Calls are carried on the Internet using “voice over IP”. This allows calls to ride free. Our sophisticated VoIP multiplexers ensure best voice quality by compensating for the latency introduced by the satellite hop.

Call logging allows call charges to be allocated to account codes, or bills to be produced as soon as the call is completed.
